Happy Anniversary!

Senior Couple Alvin and Susie on 73rd Anniversary

On May 9, 1949 (73 years ago) Alvin married Lucille “Susie”. They resided in Potosi, Wisconsin for 69 years before moving to Oregon Wisconsin. Alvin and Susie had five children three boys and two girls, sadly their son David passed away in 2009. They also have 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Alvin enlisted in the Navy during World War II. Upon returning back home, Alvin went back to farming where he raised Herford cattle. Alvin was a farmer for most of his life and he also worked for Dubuque Packing Company.

Susie was an in home babysitter and helped raise many different children who still stay in touch with her to this day. She enjoys acrylic painting, gardening and is a member of the book club at the Oregon Senior Center.

When Alvin and Susie retired, they bought a motorhome and traveled the United States, seeing almost every state but their favorite state is still Wisconsin. They continue to enjoy watching the Packers and Wisconsin Badgers play, and are looking forward to many more loving years together.
